Dedicated on-site security

ARMED OR UNARMED. THE RANGER STANDARD.

Every property has different security requirements. Ranger Protection Agency offers both armed and unarmed dedicated on-site security officers. We work with you to evaluate the property’s needs, operating environment, and security concerns before recommending an appropriate assignment.

01

Armed Security Officers

Dedicated armed officers for properties where armed coverage is appropriate. Ranger emphasizes active property patrols, authorized rule enforcement, incident response, professional judgment, and thorough documentation.

Unarmed Security Officers

Dedicated unarmed officers performing substantially the same assigned security duties as armed personnel, within their training, equipment, and legal authority. Our standards for proactive service, professionalism, and accountability remain the same.

A PRESENCE THAT TAKES ACTION.

Hiring an on-site officer should accomplish more than putting a uniform in a chair.

Ranger’s on-site officers are assigned to work the property, remain aware of conditions, make professional contacts when appropriate, and help management address recurring problems. Their responsibilities are built around the property’s operations, rules, security concerns, and authorized service expectations.

That may mean foot patrols through common areas, checking access points, documenting lease or property-rule violations, responding to concerns, or maintaining a visible presence where residents, tenants, employees, and visitors need reassurance.

RESOLVE AND REPORT. NOT OBSERVE AND REPORT. Our goal is to address issues appropriately, document what happened, and keep management informed—not simply record that an officer was present.

WHAT OUR OFFICERS CAN DO.

Every assignment begins with understanding the property and the problems management needs help addressing. Duties are established for each account within Ranger’s policies, the service agreement, and applicable law.

01 / VISIBLE PRESENCE

Uniformed officer coverage

Maintain a recognizable professional presence at the community, facility, entrance, or areas requiring additional attention.

02 / ACTIVE PATROLS

Property and common-area inspections

Conduct foot patrols and inspect breezeways, stairwells, parking areas, amenities, and other designated areas.

03 / DIRECT CONTACT

Address unwanted activity

Make professional contacts, communicate rules, and address trespassing or unauthorized activity when appropriate and authorized.

04 / DOCUMENTATION

Detailed incident reporting

Record incidents, property conditions, contacts, and authorized lease-rule concerns for management follow-up.

05 / RESPONSE

Assist with property concerns

Respond to issues during assigned hours, de-escalate when possible, and contact police or emergency services when necessary.

06 / ACCOUNTABILITY

Management communication

Provide timely information and photographs so managers understand what occurred and what follow-up may be needed.

DEDICATED HOURS. FLEXIBLE OPTIONS.

On-site security is appropriate for communities and businesses that need an officer assigned for a defined period rather than intermittent mobile patrol visits.

Depending on the location and contract, Ranger can discuss recurring schedules, focused coverage during higher-risk periods, temporary security concerns, and combinations of dedicated officers with mobile patrol services.

On-site officer assignments generally have a four-hour minimum. Coverage and staffing are tailored to the property and availability.

  • Apartment communities and multifamily housing
  • Retail centers, commercial properties, and offices
  • Construction sites and other controlled locations
  • Property-specific access and rule enforcement support
  • Daytime, evening, overnight, or combined service options
Accountability isn’t optional

YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

Your security program should provide useful information—not just a claim that someone worked a shift.

01 / BELFRY

Electronic reporting

Structured officer reports and incident documentation help management review activity across assigned coverage.

02 / GEOLOCATION

Geofenced accountability

Configured property geofences help verify on-site activity within Ranger’s operational reporting platform.

03 / PHOTO EVIDENCE

Time-and-date-stamped images

Photographs can include original time and date details, adding context to documented events and site conditions.

04 / BODY CAMERAS

Additional documentation

Body-worn camera technology supports officer accountability, safety, and review of eligible recorded interactions.

Results matter

IT’S NOT ABOUT FILLING A POST.

Having an officer physically on-site does not automatically mean security concerns are being addressed. Effectiveness depends on what the officer observes, the contacts they make, the issues they can resolve, and what is communicated to property management.

At Ranger, we emphasize professional judgment, appropriate action, and documentation. We work with clients to define expectations and adjust attention to the areas and issues affecting the property.

Our measure of a successful assignment is the value the officer provides—not simply the number of hours appearing on a schedule.
